Bengals are bred from the Asian Leopard Cat. Contrary to what some people believe they are not a wild cat.
For cat lovers or lovers of the big cats the Bengal has the look of the wild which appeals to people that have always dreamt of owning their own leopard or some other large cat but without the problems associated with them.
They are your own little leopard without the trouble.
Bengals are a friendly loving breed of cat, they love attention and love to show off. All have a personality of their own.
They are an active, athletic cat that will get into mishcief.
Some will love to curl up on your & lap some won't. Some will sit and talk to you and some will play in their water bowls.
Occassionally you'll find one that will even jump into the shower or bath with you.
Whatever their preference you'll have loads of fun with them. Bengals suffer the same diseases that other domestic cats have.
That is why vaccinations are important.
Asian Leopard Cats have a natural immunity to Feline Leukemia and this seems to have been passed onto the Bengals.
